Reedsport's historic waterfront area, home of the new Umpqua Discovery
Center, for a day of fun and education for the whole family. A day at the
waterfront may include a visit to the Umpqua Discovery Center, a tour on
the retired Antarctic research vessel HERO, a jet boat tour of the river,
a stroll on the boardwalk or a delicious meal at one of the restaurants
of the area. And don't miss to promenade the newly improved Old Town.
Beach combing and surf fishing are only a sampling of what you can do on our many easily accessible ocean and lake beaches.
Catch your limit in the ocean or one of the many surrounding rivers, lakes, or streams.
Crabbing off the dock is a popular year-round activity. Join the annual bounty hunt for "Kleo the Krab" in August / September. |
